Prof. Larry S.L. Martin Hanshi was a student of William R. Gregory he started back in 1973 in the Kajukenpo system. known to all the Martial Artsist in Rhode Island as " tiger Linc Martin ' Linc began to train with William R. Gregory from 1973 to 1997. Linc started teaching Shotokan & Kempo to many people in the Providence, Pawtucket and Central Falls area. Linc quietly broke away from the Kajukenpo system and found the Shoju-kempo ryu system teaching traditional Shotokan and Kenpo / Kempo Karate-do. still keeping his ties with Gregory, Linc's love for Shotokan Karate-do grew. but, he never stoped training in Kenpo / Kempo. then he was  Introduced to Sijo Victor Sonny Gascon founder of Karazenpo Go Shinjutsu  by Grandmaster Al Cunningham. Al knew that Linc had heart and spirit for the Art of Kenpo / Kempo. so, he and Sijo Gascon appointed Linc as the Rhode Island President of the Karazenpo Go Shinjutsu Black Belt Sociaty. Linc's heart is Kenpo / Kempo. but, his love is Shotokan Karate-do. Shoju-kempo ryu is an offshoot of Kajukenpo. still today, Linc teaches his students what he has learned from Gregory, Cerio, Pasere, Pai, Parker and Gascon. Kempo has changed over and over again. but, I can say that Linc keeps these Great Masters Art alive in his students and in his Dojo!
